Who Needs DSC for GST?
All companies registered under Companies Act 2013, LLPs, foreign nationals registering for GST, and professionals filing on behalf of clients. For proprietors, DSC is optional but recommended. If you don't have one, apply here.
Prerequisites
Valid DSC on USB token, token driver installed, emBridge or Signer utility installed, Chrome or Firefox browser, working internet.
Step 1: Install USB Token Driver
Download from the token manufacturer's website. Install and restart your computer. See our installation guide for detailed steps.
Step 2: Install Signer Utility
Download the DSC Signer from the GST portal help section. Run as Administrator. Keep it running in background.
Step 3: Register DSC on GST Portal
Log in to gst.gov.in > My Profile > Register/Update DSC. Select your certificate, enter token password, click Register. Confirmation message appears on success.
Step 4: File Returns with DSC
Prepare your return, select DSC signing option at submission, enter token password, submit. The return is now digitally signed and legally valid.
Troubleshooting
